The role & key responsibilities

The School Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of all non-academic services of the School; ensuring that they support and enhance the Schools teaching and learning programs and the experience of the School’s students each year. This role will lead the cultural and work practice changes required to support strategic directions, whilst managing operational teams, resources and business planning activities in collaboration with RMIT Vietnam’s operational Divisions. The position assists the Head of School on matters relating to management, leadership, planning and policy.

Key selection criteria

A Degree in finance, business administration or management or other relevant field.
At least 6 years of experience in a similar position; leading a substantial and complex business administration function. International Higher education environment is desirable.
Demonstrated leadership experience and expertise in planning and budgeting for the provision of diverse services, including finance, administrative, and technical support functions to a group within an organization.
Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals to successfully deliver a program of work and maintain a positive, collaborative organisational culture.
Demonstrated project management and quality assurance management skills.
Ability to analyze, interpret and present complex data to a variety of audiences.
Excellent numeracy, literacy, analytical and reporting skills.
Demonstrated experience in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of practice in relation to policies and procedures.
Demonstrated competency with a range of contemporary IT applications in education, especially MS Excel, Project and Financial Management systems
Strong financial management experience and demonstrated commercial acumen.

English proficiency requirements

If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at a BULATS Advanced level (BULATS score 75), equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.5. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a BULATS test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
