Job Summary

The incumbent teaches undergraduate and graduate Education courses, conducts
research and contributes to outreach.

    • Ability to work well with colleagues and foster a collegial environment conducive to teamwork and students’ high level of learning

Essential Job Functions

    • Conducts a requisite number of classes; Teaches assigned subjects
    • Provides guidance and supervision to students
    • Creates and maintain an environment conducive to excellence in teaching, learning and research
    • Preparation and formulation of curricula focused on his/her subject(s)
    • Participates in departmental meetings and holds scheduled office hours
    • Maintain equipment in the laboratory, makes arrangement for laboratory practical sessions, and provides materials to students
  • Provides academic support to other faculty members
  • Serves on departmental and University committees as assigned

Qualifications

    • Doctor of Philosophy in Education or related field
    • Five (5) years’ teaching experience at the college or university level
    • Postdoctoral experience with strong evidence of excellence in research and teaching desired

Licensing and Certifications

Teacher’s License preferred
