We are excited to grow our faculty and invite Lecturer applications for the fall 2025 semester. 10 Month Lecturers are non-tenure track faculty and teach 30 credits for the academic year. Teaching assignments may be assigned at any of Kean’s New Jersey locations – Union, Ocean, Princeton, Skylands or Kean Online and may include day, evening and weekend courses. Evening hours are required based on department needs for teaching evening courses and for most graduate course assignments.

Lecturers are required to teach, provide student academic support, provide service to the university and community and perform other related faculty responsibilities. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is also required, consistent with University guidelines. 10 Month Lecturers are responsible for performing their teaching and non-teaching responsibilities for the ten-month period of their appointment.

College of Education, Office of Student Placement and Clinical Experiences

Education Clinical Supervision (Elementary & Secondary Ed) – the Lecturer works collaboratively as part of a team to support teacher interns in their advancement and success in their PK-12 clinical placements. Primary responsibilities include coordinating clinical placements; supervision, mentorship, observation and providing both oral and written feedback to education interns in their clinical placements; review and assessment of weekly lesson plan submissions; completion of all required evaluations, assessments and approvals within the placement and evaluation database; attendance at supervisor meetings/trainings and clinical orientations; acting as primary point of communication and coordination; and serving as a resource to part-time adjunct faculty serving in the role as clinical supervisor. This position requires a range of faculty responsibilities which include, but are not limited to: on campus assignments, in school clinical supervision, traditional teaching assignments, maintaining office hours and university and community service. This position also requires travel to off-campus locations.

Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field; a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level; experience in P-12 classrooms and/or administration; NJ or other state teacher certification; and the ability to travel offsite to conduct clinical observations is required. Preferred qualifications include: familiarity with NJPST, NJSLS and InTASC standards and familiarity with CAEP and/or AAQEP national accreditation standards for Education Preparation Providers.
