My research and teaching interests focus on literacy intervention. I am particularly interested in literacy coaching/mentoring models that support teachers when navigating through initial resistance to implementation. As such, I am particularly interested in coach/teacher relationships. This includes research focusing on mentor teacher (cooperating teacher)/preservice teacher relationships. In addition, I am interested in preservice special education teacher efficacy in teaching reading. Finally, I do research that focuses on early literacy intervention for learners who struggle in reading and writing.
