Concern teacher and family views of report cards, assessment and instruction of readers who struggle,and literacy teacher preparation practices. Her research has been published in Language Arts, Literacy Research and Instruction (formerly Reading Research and Instruction), Reading Horizons, Teaching and Learning: The Journal of Natural Inquiry and Reflective Practice, and Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning. She has presented nationally at AERA, IRA, NRC, NCTE, as well as the IRA World Congress, Budapest, Hungary.
