My research interests lie in the learning of mathematics. Recently I have approached the learning of mathematics with a materialist sensibility and am currently interested in what ethical consequences a materialist approach has for students, as well as what contextual consequences materialism has for mathematics. Other current interests focus on various aspects of teaching and learning mathematics such as assessment, both individual and collective, as well as the support of students and teachers’ mathematical learning within pre-service and in-service teacher education.
