Expertise: Dr. Lisa Brown Buchanan is an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education in the Watson College of Education at UNC Wilmington. Her research and teaching interests include elementary social studies, interdisciplinary teaching with children's literature, classroom management, teaching with documentary film and discussion, and unpacking contentious topics with preservice teachers. She teaches various undergraduate and graduate elementary methods, curriculum design, and research classes.
