Dr. Harris’ ongoing research interests relate to college student motivation and retention, college teaching and learning, and hope and motivation among learners at all levels. As an advocate for excellence in college teaching and college student well-being, Dr. Harris has consulted and presented at conferences devoted to faculty development and the success of first-year students and students experiencing other transitions during their college years. Recently, Dr. Harris served as a Program Proposal Reviewer for the 23rd National Conference on Students in Transition hosted by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition.
