Expertise: Dr. White's primary areas of research include teacher identity, teacher learning, and religion and education. The main body of her research examines how preservice and inservice teachers' religious orientations impact their teacher learning and practice. Additional research interests include equity, diversity, and multicultural education. Her more recent research examines whether service learning experiences support preservice teachers' ability to work with diverse populations of students.
