My teaching interests include teacher preparation, especially inn middle/secondary education, the incorporation of technology in the classroom, beginning teacher support, and educational psychology, especially adolescent development.
As director of teacher education, I oversee all field placements, and secure field placements for middle/secondary/K-12 preservice and student interns. I am a member of the Executive Board, North Carolina Association of Colleges for Teacher Educators.
My service to the College includes many committee assignments, actively support of beginning teachers; outside of the College, I serve on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels, participate in Habitat for Humanity, and tutor elementary public school students.
