Dr. Campbell continuously aspires to cultivate an academic environment of engaged inquiry, curiosity and mutual respect. The Council of Social Work Education calls him to honor “service, social justice, the dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, competence, human rights, and scientific inquiry.” His teaching philosophy is steeped in the fundamental belief that active student learning is tied to student-learning outcomes and the student’s acquisition of knowledge. His active research agenda has a focus on issues of family engagement, pediatric wellness and child welfare / public policy.
